Turnaround time is approximately 10-15 business days. If your manuscript is over 100k words more time may be required. You will always be updated regarding the progress of your project.

RUSH ORDERS AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE*

$120 for manuscripts 100k+ words (400+ pages) 5-8 business days
$100 for manuscripts 60k+ words (240+ pages) 4-7 business days

*Rush orders are on a first come, first served basis. If it’s not possible to rush your project you will be refunded the Rush fee.

FREE editing of first five pages of your completed manuscript (50k+ words) when we have received the first 25 pages.

FREE editing of first three pages for unfinished novels, short stories, novelettes, novellas, or manuscripts up to 50k words when we have received the first 10 pages.

Flash Fiction: 1 – 1,000 words (1 to 4 pages) $0.05 per word
Short Story: 1,000 – 7,500 words (4 to 30 pages) $0.05 per word through page 4, $5.00 per page thereafter
Novelette: 7,500 – 15k words (30 to 60 pages) $5.00 per page
Novella: 15k – 40k words (60 to 160 pages) $4.50 per page
Story Collection – varies, will discuss estimated cost
Novel excerpt – varies, will discuss estimated cost
Novel: More than 40k+ words (160+ pages) $4.00 per page
Novel: More than 60k+ words (240+ pages) $3.75 per page

All fiction genres and styles accepted. Non-fiction works accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Phone meetings are $40 per hour, charged in 10-minute increments, $20 minimum. First 10 minutes of first call are free.
In-person meetings are $80 per hour, charged in 10-minute increments, $40 minimum.
Email discussions are no charge.

Once we agree upon a service, half of the total fee is due up front, with the balance due when the project is finished.

Editing for Marketing Material is charged at an hourly rate of $50 per hour, one hour minimum. Time is charged in 15-minute increments. Rates for continuous contracted work will be negotiable.

Professional:

• Presentations

Editing fees for Professional material is $0.05 per word, minimum $10.00.
*The turnaround time for these items is 1-2 business days, occasionally same day.

 Editing/Proofreading Services:
• Two thorough reads of your manuscript: Cold read and 2nd pass
• Spelling and grammar correction
• Formatting to industry requirements
• Fact-checking
• Developmental suggestions to improve clarity, characterization, dialogue, and plot development as well as ensure the story is consistent throughout the manuscript
• Highlighting of text that is repetitive, erroneous or extraneous
• Rewriting sentences/sections is also available if specifically requested by the author

Format: All manuscripts must use Times New Roman or Courier 12-point font. Text must be double-spaced, with a one-inch margin top, bottom, left, and right. The first line of each paragraph is to be indented .05”. If sending a hard copy, print only on one side of the paper, and number your pages consecutively. If sending a synopsis for review it should be single-spaced.

Submission of material: We will accept your manuscript on a CD/DVD/flash drive, as a download from a storage site (such as fileconvoy.com), or via email attachment. Email attachments must be in Word doc or docx format. If you send your manuscript as a PDF or other file type, there will be a printing fee of $0.25 per page. We will price the cost of returning the manuscript to you via FedEx Priority Mail, or U.S.P.S. Priority Mail and will add it to your final statement.

Payment: Once services and fees have been agreed upon, you will receive a contract to be electronically signed using DocuSign. Once the contract is signed, you will also be sent an invoice. Half of the fee is due up front with the balance due at the conclusion of rendered services. Final payment must be received within 10 days. Any payment received after the due date is subject to 5% interest per month. We process payments through PayPal, however, clients do not have to have a PayPal account to submit payment using a debit or credit card.
